Imani Jacqueline Brown is a founding cultural activist of Blights Out, a New Orleans collective of artists, activists, and architects working to imagine and design a new model for housing development centered outside the for-profit market. Her work attempts to approach architecture, public space, and cultural production as manipulable tools for a restorative justice agenda. Brown is a member of Occupy Museums, a collective of artist/activists formed during Occupy Wall Street in 2011. She was raised in New Orleans and returned in 2013 after displacement by Hurricane Katrina and 7 years in New York Cit. Reserve your seat now!
